I talked to a representative from a discount office furniture store last week that came into introduce himself and let me know that not only do they offer furniture at great rates but they also sell office supplies. I was not sure what kind of prices we were getting for our copy paper and pens and pencils but I took the guys price list to compare and see if he was any cheaper.

I was hoping that he was priced lower than our current provider since I did not like the service that we got from our current office supply company, they were never on time and it they sometimes forgot things. I even found them charging us for things that we never ordered and never received.

After comparing the two company’s price lists, the discount office furniture store seemed to have much lower prices; I called and set up our first order with the representative. The order was to be in on Tuesday and it came on Monday with everything exactly the way it should.

I hope to continue to get great service from this office supply company and I have even checked out some their discount furniture and am thinking that after the holidays I will start to replace some of the older pieces in my office.

I came home to find my teenage son on the computer entering a contest on one of those sites that sell funny t shirts. I guess that whoever could design the best of the best funny t shirts, would win some money and a free t shirt. I could not believe when he called me at work the following week to let me know that he had won a hundred dollars and they were printing his design on a t shirt.

I was so proud of my son for winning the funny shirts contest that I told everyone in my office by the end of the day. They told me that he might have a career in designing funny t shirts. I laughed at them, and then got to thinking. I wondered how much it would cost to get a website for him, and what kind of computer equipment it would take to get him started on the road to a successful funny shirts business.

I called a few of my friends that know how to design websites and asked them all the questions that I thought I needed to have answered. I compiled all the figures of the startup fees. I was so excited to go home and tell him, and when I did, he said ‘no thanks mom, it was fun the first time and I just really wanted to win and that is all.”

I bought some funny shirts from a yard sale last week. Some of the funny t shirts even still have the tags on them. I found them in a big pile of clothes and they were all the way at the bottom of the pile. The lady that was having the sale told me that her daughter went through a phase where she only wanted to wear funny shirts so all of her family would buy her funny shirts whenever they saw one.

The ladies daughter grew out of the phase and she was left with many t shirts that her daughter did not like or that she just did not fit. I was happy for the find since my daughter has just decided last week that she likes funny shirts. The lady and I laughed that the girls were both about ten when this phase seemed to kick in.

When I got home with the bag full of funny t shirts, my daughter was so excited. She loved every single one of them and she even fit them all too. There was only one that seemed a little big on her and we just figured that she could wear it in the future if she was still into funny shirts that is.

My father in law wanted to get something special for my mother in law for their wedding anniversary and asked me if I would help him go shopping. I told him that if he wanted to come over and shop online while the baby was sleeping then I could help him find something really nice. I knew that Prada and Gucci were her favorite brands and I would be able to find something nice.

Since he hated shopping and the mall, he said that it sounded like a great idea. I had a few things in mind before he came over that afternoon, and started checking out some of the sites I knew would have some really great things that my mother in law would like.

My mother in law has very expensive taste and I knew that if we got something like a Prada or Gucci handbags for her, then she would be very happy. I picked out four Prada handbags and four Gucci handbags that I knew would fit her style. I had print outs of all of them for my father in law when he arrived.

My father in law ended up choosing the beautiful red leather Gucci handbag and two of the very sophisticated Prada handbags for my mother in law. She loved all of them, and told him that he had done a very good job at choosing things that fit her perfectly. I let him have all the credit.

I wore some funny t shirts to high school back in the day. In college, I switched over to offensive t shirts, since my parents were not there to tell me what I could and could not wear. I felt a sense of freedom every time I put on one of the offensive t shirts my mother would have burned, if she had seen them.

I always made sure to bring home my funny t shirts and leave my offensive t shirts at school when I would come home for visits. I had then figured out a way to bring home the offensive t shirts during summer break stuffed into a pillow. I had told my mother that I had this favorite pillow, and not to touch it, wash it, or move it. She always abided by those rules.

I now have a teenage daughter who also seems to enjoy wearing funny t shirts to high school, I wonder if she will be just like her mother. I will not invade her privacy and check because I know that she will grow out of the offensive t shirts phase if she decides to head in that direction. What I do not know, will not kill me. I completely understand the feeling of freedom, when it comes to clothes.

I know of a few of my friends who have thought so hard about fireplaces. The biggest challenge with fireplaces they have had to face is of wanting to have it installed in their bedrooms. Does that sound familiar? Well, I know maybe some of you have also contemplated having the fireplace in their bedrooms. However, this has not been possible due to security reasons.

To be a little reasonable, think of the bedroom on its own. It is a special room that is meant to be a resting place, a place where people retire to sleep. Most times, we do go to sleep while so tired and our minds are exhausted that we cannot even think straight. It is expected that in this kind of state one may very possibly have an accident. 

On the other hand, fires have the ability to offer warmth, charm and romance atmosphere that is usually expected in the bedroom. This is where the dilemma comes. Some people reason this way and they go ahead and install a fireplace in the bedroom. Again here, discretion is used.

Whatever decision you make, remember to be safe. If it is gas fires that will work well for your bedroom, go ahead and have it installed properly. All in all, it is your safety that matters.
