“Better safe than sorry”, my mother would always say. And she has this gift to really give you timely and periodic reminders. To some, perhaps, she might sound annoying. But for me, I love my mom and I just love the fact that she never fails to lovingly remind me of what’s good for me. And yes, she never goes wrong. That’s why she reminded me to get in touch with an injury attorney in Tampa Bay; I immediately searched the internet for the law firm nearest my workplace. I couldn’t help but smile at the results; there was actually one that I drive by daily on my way to work. I visited their office the next day and boy, was it worth my while.
From our meeting, I realized how caring my mother was. She was just making sure that should her only daughter get into some kind of accident, there would be someone within reach especially because she’s now three states away from me. Little did I know that she withheld the most painful reason why I never grew up knowing my father; there were no wrongful death attorneys in Tampa back in their time.

I was looking around in our neighborhood and I noticed that some of my neighbors have retractable awnings in their yard. I think it’s a good idea to have something like that around. You can stay outside without worrying too much about the sun getting on your skin. You can even enjoy the afternoon seeing the world and your neighbors go by.
I asked my mom if she was interested in getting an awning for our front yard. She said that she’ll think about it. My little sister is a handful and she likes to pester anyone just to play with her. I try my best to hide from her but today is not my lucky day. I played with her for a couple of hours and made sure that she is exhausted (just enough to make her feel sleepy). I returned in my room thinking about the comfort that an awning can bring to our home. I think that I will have to ask my dad to back me up, just in case my mom had a change of heart. But for now, I have to be content about having to spend the rest of the day in the comforts of my own room.

I was selling old silver coins to a friend. Selling things that you don’t need is like selling nothing. No hurt feelings and regrets. Besides, selling old silver coins was the easiest way I know. Although I found it valuable somehow, I had no choice. I won’t be able to buy things and pay the bills if I didn’t sell it. I felt sudden regret when a friend told me about the company that buys old sorts of metal, jewelries, diamonds, gems and gold three times more than their competitors. The company has in-house expert gemologist and appraisers that will honestly appraise everything. If I just discovered the company earlier, I could’ve saved my old coins.
My grandmother knew that I regret. Consequently, she gave me her old coins. She said that, it’s up to me on how to keep it. In addition, she told me I can sell old coins but with no more regrets. I was in high spirits when I received the old coins. I kept the coins for two months only because I had to sell it to the jewelry-buyer company. As I expected, I got check amounting to three times higher than the first buyer. I was so happy with it.
